I really liked the melding of minds between Ruven Afanador & Cuban artist Ruben Toledo for the Nordstroms Summer 08 ad campaign. Toledo painted the walls to create the series of black-and-white sets.
& some of the others are like a classical memento mori painting brought to life, or an Edgar Allan Poe, or Tim Burton-esque something or another. I like these a lot.
